19.02.2010
Well-known in the field of European teacher training, IPE of the Zurich University of Teacher Education was asked to act as an international jury for choosing model Master programmes for teachers in Romania.
The Dinu Patriciu Foundation, which supports Romanian
students with scholarship programmes, launched the programme
"Professoria" where Romanian Universities were asked to apply for financing with their innovative Master's programmes. On February 17th,
the winners were announced at a press-conference in Bucarest. It was
IPE's task to address the importance of good teacher training and emphasize the value of
the challenges Romania is confronted with in education. IPE is also setting up a
project with Romania focussing career counselling in the last year of
compulsory education and training teachers and businesses for this
purpose.
